Follow the steps
Setup walks you through creating the accounts Villow runs on (Vercel for the app, Supabase for the database, Google Cloud for YouTube access), then builds and connects everything. No GitHub, Git or terminal needed.
Sign in with Google
Then choose your name, time zone, country and a daily limit.
Put it on your phone
Open your Villow address on your phone and add it to your home screen. It installs like an app on iPhone, iPad and Android.
Add the extension
Install it in Chrome, Edge or Firefox, then link it using a connect link from inside Villow.

What you'll need
- A computer to run Setup: Windows today, macOS and Linux TBDmacOS and Linux availability. You only need it for setup.
- The Google account that will own your Villow.
- Vercel and Supabase accounts (email sign-up).
- A Google Cloud project. Setup guides you through it.

What it costs
Villow is free.
Villow and Villow Setup are free and open source. Your Villow runs on your own Vercel, Supabase and Google Cloud accounts, and you can run it for yourself on their free plans. Setup never picks a paid plan or upgrade for you.
Share your Villow with a few friends
- Add your friend's Google email to your Google Cloud project's list of allowed users. TBDexact steps to add a friend in Google Cloud
- Send them your Villow address.
- They sign in with Google, set their own limits, and add Villow to their phone.
You can remove someone's access from inside Villow any time.
Good to know
- You own it. Your Villow's data lives in your own Supabase account.
- Your responsibility. Whoever runs a Villow is responsible for using it in line with YouTube's API terms and Google's policies.
